The theme for this month Blog Hop is “For A Special Lady”, after considering several options I created this triple panel fold card, original idea came from Mixed Up Craft and I have put my own twist on it. The use of the foil card when the light catches it makes the card look so pretty. The sentiment on the back has been left blank so recipient does not know it is for them, and yes she is a very “special lady”.

Materials needed

• Whisper White cardstock – 2 pieces 2 5/8 x 6.75 inches (back of card); 2 7/8 x 2 1/8 inches (for sentiment)
• Lovely Lipstick cardstock – 11.75 x 7 inches, score on long side at 2 7/8 and 8 7/8 inches, on short side score at 2 and 5 inches only between the score lines previously made, on long side score at 4 7/8 and 6 7/8 inches down to the first score line rotate cardstock and repeat the 4 7/8 and 6 7/8 inches score lines (card base); 3 1/8 x 2 3/8 inches (layer for sentiment);
• All My Love DSP – 2 pieces inches; 2 3/8 x 6.5 inches (front side panel); 6 pieces 1.5 inches square; 1 piece 4.75 x 2.75 inches (for front sentiment layer); 2 pieces 2 5/8 x 7/8 inches (bottom of back piece); 2 pieces 2 5/8 x 0.75 inches (top of back piece)
• Gold Foil Sheet – 2 pieces 2 5/8 x 6.75 inches (front side panel); 6 pieces 1.75 inches square; 1 piece 5 x 3 inches (for front sentiment layer); small piece for die cutting images
• Forever Lovely Stamp Set
• Butterfly Beauty Thinlits Dies
• Lovely Lipstick Ink Pad
• Gold Embossing Powder

Putting the card together

• With a craft knife and ruler or your trimmer cut the score lines as shown below
• 
• In order for the closed card to fit into a 5 x 7 inches envelope, the sentiment piece of the card base (central piece) needs to be shortened by 0.5 inches on each side
• Adhere all the DSP to the relevant gold foil pieces
• Adhere the these pieces to to the card base; two front side panels, three squares top and bottom
• Before adhering the sentiment panel place this on the centre piece to ensure that none of coloured cardstock can be seen behind the gold foil, if so carefully cut a small notch on each side (i.e. the piece beneath each square); when satisfied adhere this piece to the card base
• Heat emboss the sentiment in gold embossing powder on the Whisper White, once dry stamp the flower image on the four corners stamping off once beforehand
• Adhere this to the coloured cardstock and with dimensional adhere this centrally to the card base
• Die cut seven butterfly shapes and two flourishes in gold foil
• Adhere the DSP strips to the Whisper White cardstock
• Adhere this to the back panels of the card base
• Three butterflies on the front of the card are adhered with glue dots, and the other images are adhered to the back of the card with liquid glue
• Your card is now complete
