Saw a gorgeous leather box bag on Pinterest, inspired created this box bag, original seen was in black but decided to use Melon Mambo. Would make a lovely gift bag to hold a treat, especially someone mad on handbags.

Finished size of cube is 3 x 3 x 3 inches
- Melon Mambo cardstock
- bag – 7 x 12 inches
- score on long side at every 1 inch
- score on short side at every 1 inch
- inside flap – 2/14 x 8-3/4 inches
- square layers – 54 pieces 3/4 inch square (if no square layers on base reduce by 9)
- handle – 4 oval pieces
- clasp – use one of inside ovals from handle
- bag – 7 x 12 inches
- Silver Foil
- handle loops – 2 pieces 1/4 x 1-1/2 inches
- clasp 2 ‘C’ pieces
The base and lid is cut in one piece; the base is 2 inches high (or 2 squares high), the lid is 1 inch deep (or 1 square). After scoring remove and cut squares as shown below. Adhere the squares inside each square (except for the tabs), adding squares to the bottom is optional.

Die cut 4 ovals frames and adhere together. Adhere the tabs to form the base and lid. Place inside flap inside the base (will only fit the 2 sides and front), gently pinch where the cardstock needs to fold, remove and burnish the folds and corner the top end corners, add liquid glue to the piece but no more than 2 inches up all way round from base and adhere inside the base. This piece will help keep the lid closed and in line with the base. Adhere one short edge of each handle loop to the lid centrally, slip on the handle and adhere the other short edges to the lid to form the loop. die cut 2 letter “C” (dies from my stash) or letter you require, add to clasp, add velcro dot, adhere top of clasp to lid. Bag is now complete.
