Ladybugs Pop Up Wobble birthday card

The inspiration for this card came from Nigeria Creates, I have changed it for this version but I think you will agree its a great card using the fantastic ladybugs set, although we know the little creatures as ladybirds.

The inside of the card only has two popups but also has a wobble ladybird.

Finished card size is 5 x 7 nches

Thick Whisper White cardstock – 10 x 7 inches, score on long side at 5 inches
Whisper White cardstock
- front layer – 5-3/4 x 3-3/4 inches
- inside layer – 6 x 9 inches, score on long side at 4-1/2 inches
- pieces for stamped images and sentiment
Pear Pizzazz cardstock – 6-1/2 x 9-1/2 inches, score on long side at 4-3/4 inches
DSP
- front layer – 4-3/4 x 6-3/4 inches
- inside layer – 6 x 1 inches
Red Glimmer Paper for butterflies and sentiment

A couple of things to do before putting the card together; stamp the images in memento ink and die cut (no dies then fussy cut), and colour the images. Die cut the sentiment and butterflies (used leftover red glimmer paper from Christmas but use what you have). Emboss the front Whisper White layer if this is the effect you want. Create the popup on the Whisper White layer by marking a pencil line one inch up from the folded edge, along the folded edge and line mark at 3/4 and 1-3/4 inches from each edge up to the one inch line, cut up from the folded edge to the one inch pencil to form your two popups. Stamp the line of small ladybugs and colour on the bottom edge, add the DSP piece towards the bottom of the cardstock.

Add the DSP front layer to the card base together with the white front layer, Adhere the Pear Pizzazz to the inside of the card one side at a time, ensuring borders are equal. Adhere the white inside layer one side at a time but do not add adhesive to the popups, again ensuring borders are equal. Decorate the front white layer, and the inside of the card – when adding images to pop up make sure the bottom of the images is away from the bottom to enable to card to close smoothly. The flying ladybug has been attached with a wobble that I had in my stash.
