Ferris Wheel birthday card

The original idea was cased from Mixed Up Craft and yes it turns, however this was a commission which requested cupcakes, and the only set I had was a retired one so I used Hello cupcake stamp set and dies to create the card but used current DSP, inks and cardstock.

This card fits into a 6-1/8 x 6-1/8 inches envelope.

  • Night of Navy – 2 piece 5 inch circles (you could use one piece but I used 2 to strengthen the wheel); one piece 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 inches (layer for centre piece)
  • White cardstock – one piece 4 x 8 inches, score on long side at 4 inches (this is for the stand); one piece 2 x 2 inches (layer for centre piece); pieces for stamped cake images)
  • Magnolia Lane DSP – 8 pieces for the base of the cupcake
  • Copper Foil – one piece 2-1/4 x 2-1/4 inches (layer for centre piece); pieces for die cut images

On the Whisper White piece for the stand on the fold mark with a pencil at 1-1/4 and 2-3/4 inches; from each mark cut diagonally to the corresponding corner to form the stand. Adhere the two night of navy circles together and in the centre make a hole, also on one side of the stand about half an inch from the top centrally; add a brad to secure. Make 8 cupcakes and adhere to the circle, making sure that they do not catch on the bottom when turning. The sentiment was embossed in copper on the whisper white. Adhere the copper layer to the night of navy and adhere to the centre of the card, add the sentiment using dimensionals.
