Shirt Age card

There was no question on the type of card for this special birthday – a football fanatic – so had to be a card in their favourite team colours.

Finished card size is 5 x 7 inches.

Real Red cardstock – 4.75 x 6.75 inches (for shirt); 2 pieces 1.5 x 1.5 inches (for sleeves); 2 pieces 1.5 x 0.5 inches to decorate the end of the sleeves
Gold Foil
Thick Whisper White cardstock – 10 x 7 inches, score on long side at 5 inches (card base); 2 pieces 0.75 x 0.5 inches (inserts on sleeves)

To create this card die cut a semi circle in the top of the crd base and coloured cardstock to create the neck ensuring that this is central. Adhere the white sleeve inserts onto the thin end of sleeve pieces, then adhere this to the end of the sleeve leaving quarter inch showing of the sleeve end. Line the top corner of the sleeve to the top of the shirt (leaving about half inch of end of sleeve away from he shirt), draw a faint pencil line add liquid glue up to pencil line and adhere sleeves to the shirt. Adhere the shirt to the front of the card, gently fold the sleeves forward, this will enable the card to fit into a 5 x 7 inch envelope, plus it gives the card a bit of character when the card is opened by the recipient.

Happy Birthday is die cut from Well Written dies, the number is die cut from the retired large numbers and the letters for the name was drawn and cut with a craft knife from gold foil and whisper white. Words and name adhered to the card using liquid glue, the numbers are adhered with dimensionals.

Unusual shaped birthday card is now complete.
