Sailing Home Rocker Age card

Come Sail Away suite is used for this rocker card, slightly different from previous version cased from Mixed Up Craft. With this card it is important to remember that the card must stand straight as it is easy for it to be lopsided due to the cut away.

With this rocker card you definitely need to make sure that each side is blanked as part of the right hand side is cut away and the temptation is to just add to this side.

The finished card fits into a 5 x 7 inches envelope. This card can be adjusted to any size i.e. larger or smaller the key is that from the bottom of the card to the top must not be bigger than the envelope size, in this case it measures 5 inches. Measurements given here will be for what I used.

Cut a circle in thick Whisper White cardstock measuring 7 inches in diameter, fold in half and burnish, the card will now rock on its own
Along the fold line measure in 2.5 inches and mark in pencil, draw a faint line, along this line mark down 1 inch from the score line on each side of the score line, draw from this mark to the edge of the circle
Cut the 1 inch line down from the score line, score the two lines drawn to the edge of circle, erase the pencil lines, fold the original score line down to create a valley fold and the two lines just cored make into mountain folds, burnish these folds and the piece jutting out not he side carefully cut the shape of the curve
DSP layer cut a circle measuring 6.5 inches diameter, fold in half and cut along this line (you can use both pieces one for the front and one for the back)
Use the same measurements to cut out the right hand side as per card base for the DSP
Adhere the DSP to the front of card base
Stamp the anchor in Gray Granite, boats in relevant colours, die cut these images adhere. to the card using a mixture of dimensionals and glue dots on the right hand side
Stamp the sentiment using Balmy Blue onto a Whisper White cardstock boat, adhere to the left hand side using dimensionals
Numbers die cut in the retired large numbers in Balmy blue cardstock (retired) adhere to a Whisper White cardstock boat and adhere to left hand side of card ebsuring it sits behind the sentiment boat
Adhere the anchor below the Whisper White boats and with a glue dot adhere a trinket to the number to balance the rocker card

When adding images to this type of card remember that each side must balance so when the card stands it is straight and will then rock easily.
