Flowers in a Vase

The flowers were cased from weddingmagazineuk (you tube) and vase from Pootles Papercraft (you tube) but I have put my own twist to them.

For the flowers I used different DSP (as long as they were shades of pink or purple) these were cut to:

  • 1 large flower cut at 13 cm square which you need 5 pieces
  • 5 medium flowers cut at 10 cm square which you need 5 pieces for each flower
  • 11 small flowers cut at 7 cm square which you willed 5 pieces for each flower

If you follow the video you will get the idea of how each petal of the flower is folded and put together.

In the video they adhered the wire after the flower was made. I found that it was easier to stick some florist tape around the top of the wire and adhere liquid glue and stick this to the inside of the flower before adhering the final piece of the flower. Once the flower is dry I attached a clear faceted gem to the centre of each flower.

For the vase I followed the Quadruple Faceted Box tutorial using Sweet Sugar Plum cardstock and stamped the cardstock using the flower from the Perennial Birthday stamp set.  Instead of sealing the top of the box I left these in please rounding the corners of each piece and left them open. Please follow the video to obtain all the correct folds.
