The idea for this card came from Mixed Up Craft. An unusual style but very effective and something different to create and looks more complicated than it is.

The finished card will lie flat for posting measuring 6 x 7 inches

• Cardstock base card – 9 x 6 inches
  • score on long side at 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 inches
• Remaining 5 base card pieces – 2-1/2 x 6 inches
• White cardstock
  • for message – 2-3/8 x 5-7/8 inches
  • for sentiment – size as required
• DSP 5 pieces – 2-3/8 x 5-7/8 inches
• DSP 6 pieces – 1-3/8 x 5-7/8 inches (if you want to back the card base)

Die cut the edges as required of the cardstock (6 pieces), message piece and DSP (11 pieces). Stamp sentiment, Adhere DSP and message to base card. Burnish score lines of base card and adhere first  one inch piece to edge of 6 inch score line to create hexagon shape. Adhere the 5 other base card pieces to the one inch score lines. Stamp sentiment and if required add cut off pieces from die cut to frame the sentiment, add to what will be front of card. Decorate as required.
