Waterfall card

This beautiful waterfall card can be used for any occasion but this one is for a birthday next month. It combines the Forever Greenery DSP, stamped images are from the Dressed to Impress set, a retired set Lovely is the Day and flowers coloured from retired DSP. This type of card can be made from any DSP and stamps to suit your requirements.

Finished card size is 5 x 7 inches

Thick Whisper White
- card base – 7 x 10 inches, score on long side at 5 inches
- mechanism – 11-1/2 x 2-1/2 inches
  - score on long side at 2-1/2, 3, 3-1/2, 4, 4-1/2, 5 and 5-1/2 inches
Shaded Spruce cardstock
- 6 layers – 3 x 3 inches
- hold in place – 4 x 1 inches
Whisper White cardstock
- 6 pieces for images – 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 inches
DSP – 4-3/4 x 6-3/4 inches

When stamping your image(s) on to the mechanism start approximately 1 inch down from the 5-1/2 inch score line. Fold the score lines of this piece towards the image stamped. Decorate the 6 whisper white pieces and adhere these to the coloured cardstock layers.

Add the first layer onto the top of the mechanism with equal borders (adhesive added to the 1/2 inch gap, first layer at 5-1/2 score line) then add each layer in the order you want them to be seen to each 1/2 inch gap until all six are added, after each layer is added just give the score line a fold this will help the movement. Adhere the hold in place piece onto the reverse of the mechanism with equal borders lining up the edges.

Adhere the DSP to the card front, add adhesive to the ends of the hold in place piece, hover the mechanism over card front so everything is lined up centrally, when happy press down on the adhesive pieces, once dry slide the mechanism and the layers should run freely. If required you can add ‘PULL’ onto the mechanism so recipient will know or add some ribbon to be pulled. Card is now complete and decorate the rest as required.
