Aperture card

These fun cards style was cased from A Stamp Above, they are great quick cards that can be used with any stamps, although the ones used here are retired, the style doesn’t restrict what can be used. Nothing is wasted with these cards as the die cut is used to back the image. There are some stamps in the new catalogue that would suit this style.

Finished card size 5-7/8 x 4-1/8 inches

card base – 5-7/8 x 8-1/4 inches, score on long side at 4-1/8 inches
Whisper White
- inside layer – 5-5/8 x 3-7/8 inches
- circle piece
DSP – 1 x 6 inches
Images coloured with various blends

Die cut shape (keep piece) using layering set centre front of card (use shape that fractionally larger than stitched shape). Die cut stitched shape, stamp and colour image. Stamp sentiment and any images on the inside layer – ensure sentiment is within the die cut shape. Cut a banner shape into one end of the DSP, lay inside layer onto card, place DSP up to fold (banner end) then carefully fold the DSP over the edge of the Whisper White, ensure DSP is central in shape when card closed and adhere the DSP tab to the back of the Whisper White, adhere this piece to the inside of the card. Close your card with the DSP banner poking out, adhere your stamped shape image onto the DSP. With the die cut shape of cardstock adhere to the back of DSP and stamped shape. Decorate front of card as required and your card is now complete.
