Double Swing Card

This gorgeous swing card, style was cased from Mixed Up Crafts, I have added my own take on it and turned the squares into diamonds for a special Thank You card using fabulous DSP.

The measurements for this card has been made for a 6 inch die cutting machine, if you have a larger machine then use 2 pieces of cardstock 7 x 10 with inside piece being scored the same as below and the outside piece scored at 5 inches on long side.

Finished card measures 5 x 7 inches

Pool Party cardstock
- inside piece 7 x 10 inches, score on long side at 2-1/2, 5, 7-1/2 inches
- outside pieces
  - front – 5 x 7 inches
  - back – 5-1/2 x 7 inches, score on short side at 1/2 inch
DSP
- front – 4-3/4 x 6-3/4 inches
- panel – 2-1/4 x 6-3/4 inches
Whisper White cardstock – 2-1/4 x 6-3/4 inches
Copper Foil for frames and layers

Adhere the front DSP to the card front, make a light pencil mark at the top and bottom at 2-1/2 inches draw a light line between the 2 marks so you have a central line. Using the second smallest square lay the points on the central line and die cut two diamonds ensuring equal distance and keep the ie cut pieces. Adhere the back of the card to the front, with tab inside the front piece (this will be hidden once inside piece adhered).

Lay the inside piece up to the diamond points and mark with a pencil the spaces to enable you to cut away some cardstock up to the first score line. You should have something like the photo below.

Adhere the inside piece (final section) to the back of the card, add glue to the thin strips and adhere these back on themselves so the ends line with edge of the back of the card (first score line should be in the centre of the diamonds)

Die cut two fold squares and trim the the DSP squares (removing stitched lines) adhere to foil square, add to the front of the card in the spaces left by the original die cuts. Add borders in foil – optional (use middle two square), decorate the inside panels as required. Final addition heat emboss sentiment in copper add to card front.
