A gift bag for little ones, or dress it up for older ones, in the form of a backpack.

Finished bag measures 4 x 2 x 5 inches, before scoring the main and lid pieces stamp (if required) images in co-ordinating ink
- Bermuda Bay cardstock
- main 2 pieces – 7 x 6-1/2 inches
- score on long side at 2 inches
- score on short side at 2 and 6 inches, partial score at 1 inch down to 4 inch mark
- lid – 4 x 4-1/2 inches
- score on long side at 1/2 and 1-1/2 inches; round front corners
- back straps 2 pieces – 7 x 3/4 inch
- score on long side at each end at 3/4 inch
- handle – 3/4 x 5-1/2 inches
- score on long side at each end at 3/4 inch
- front straps 2 pieces – 3/8 x 4-1/2 inches
- round each end
- strap tie 2 pieces – 1 x 1/4 inch
- main 2 pieces – 7 x 6-1/2 inches
- Black cardstock for 2 buckles
Once pieces are stamped, score as stated above, score additional lines manually on the side sections to form the bottom triangles to help the side sections fold and cut the main pieces as shown.


Adhere the 1/2 tabs to form the bag base, decide which is the front and back, fold in the bottom flap adhere the side flaps and adhere the front flap to form the base. With bone folder curl the back straps between the score lines, adhere the top of the straps inside the back of the bag approx 3/4 – 1 inch in from the side; adhere the bottom tabs of the strap approx 1 inch from the bottom of the bag. Adhere the 1/2 tab of the lid to the inside of the back fo the bag (on top of the strap tabs). Add the handle to the bag on the 1 inch section of the lid centrally and in line with the back straps. Adhere the front straps to the front of the lid centrally to the handle tabs, feed on the buckles and adhere these to the strap to secure. Add the strap ties to the front in order that the front straps can feed in and out. Decorate with embellishments as required. If required velcro dots can be added to the lid to help keep closed in any weighty contents added.
