Fell in love with this bag when I saw it on Mixed Up Craft, so I cased it with the latest papers but wasn’t sure whether it would be for Mothers Day or a Birthday – hence why the photo shows two labels on the bag! It is basically a lidded box in cardstock with a piece of gorgeous DSP for the Flap of the bag which covers the whole front of the gift bag. Handles can be made with card instead of ribbon or just as a clutch bag, the ideas are endless and it does have an impact.
Finished bag size is 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 x 3 inches
- Real Read cardstock
- 2 pieces for the box – 12 x 12 inches
- on both pieces score on one side at 1/2 and 9 inches; rotate and score at 3, 8-1/2 and 11-1/2 inches
- 2 x 8-1/2 inches to reinforce the flap
- score on long side at 1 inch
- 2 pieces to attach metal rings – 1/2 x 1-1/2 inches
- label – 2 x 3-3.4 inches
- 2 pieces for the box – 12 x 12 inches
- DSP – 8-1/2 x 12 inches for the closure
- Whisper White cardstock – label 1-7/8 x 3 inches
Ribbon used for handle was in my stash and is now retired however there are other suitable ribbons available or alternatively add a cardstock handle. Sentiments and image taken from three different stamp sets. Click on the link above to see how to put this delightful bag together.
