As a new catalogue was launched recently I took part in a team card swap, people who want to take part are put into groups of 6 and you swap cards with those in your group of any new item in the catalogue. I used the Come Sail Away suite and created a Diamond Easel Card (original cased from Mixed Up craft) using the DSP, bundle, embellishments, and bright inks.

For the finished card a 6 x 6 inch envelope will be required.

• Whisper White cardstock – 6 x 12 inches, score on long side at 3 and 6 inches; 3.5 x 5.5 inches for message; 4-5/16 x 4-5/16 inches for easel; piece for stamped images
• Coloured cardstock – 2.75 x 5.75 inches (layer for message); 3.5 x 3.5 inches (layer for easel)
• DSP – 2 pieces 4 x 4 inches; 2.75 x 2.75 inches (cut diagonally to form 2 triangles); 2.75 x 5.75 inches (optional for top of card)

To achieve the point on the top and bottom of the card, mark the halfway point along the sides and bottom of the card i.e. 3 inches. Join the points up from the sides to the bottom of the card and cut the triangles away. Adhere the 4 inch piece of DSP onto the base of the card ensuring that the corner points match up. Adhere the DSP triangles to the base leaving the same border. Stamp the message onto Whisper White, layer onto coloured cardstock, adhering this to the inside front of the card. Adhere the Whisper White easel piece to the front of the card (only place adhesive onto the triangle),adhere the other piece of 4 inch DSP to the easel. Stamp the coloured cardstock easel layer and adhere onto the DSP. Decorate as required and add a stopper for the easel to rest against to the base of the card. For this card a circle in copper foil, layered with stamped compass image, adhered to the base of the card using dimensionals. The next piece of DSP is optional, when the card lies flat you can see the colour of the cardstock with side of the diamond easel, you can add a piece of DSP to finish this off.
