Beauty Abounds Fancy Fold

Today I have taken part in the Stampin’ For All weekly challenge, theme for the week is fancy fold. I decided on a z-fold card, first image is how the card stands and the second image is how the card look pulled out. The stamp sets used was Beauty Abounds bundle and Butterfly Gala for the sentiment.

Materials Needed

Coastal Cabana – 11.25 x 5.75 inches, score on long side at 3.75 and 7.5 inches, piece to die cut the butterflies
Whisper White – 5.5 x 3.5 inches; piece to die cut the butterflies
Melon Mambo – piece to die cut the butterflies
Gorgeous Grape – piece to die cut the butterflies
DSP – 5.5 x 3.5 inches

Putting the card together

Die cut the butterflies from Beauty Abounds using the more detailed die in Whisper White and the lesser detail die in Melon Mambo and Coastal Cabana; using the small butterfly dies, die cut four (2 of each) in Gorgeous Grape
Adhere the Melon Mambo butterflies using liquid glue on each part o the butterfly body to the Whisper White butterflies
Once stuck bend the wings eight side of the body so they stand up and using a bond folder carefully curl the wings under
With the Coastal Cabana card base mark on the short side about 3/4 inch down from the top; using a trimmer line up the mark and the top corner of the opposite side, cut a diagonal line to remove this small piece of card
Line up the piece of Whisper White and DSP against the relevant sections and on the wrong side with a pencil draw a line where the top of Coastal Cabana cardstock is; using a trimmer line up this pencil line against (not the cutting line) the edge of the cutting mat (this will shorten the cardstock and give the correct diagonal line
Burnish the Coastal Cabana score lines, one mountain and one valley fold
Adhere the Whisper White cardstock and DSP using snail to the relevant sections
Using Coastal Cabana ink stamp the sentiment onto the Whisper White
Adhere the Whisper White and Melon Mambo butterflies using liquid glue on each of the butterfly body to the Coastal Cabana ensuring there is enough room for each butterfly to be able to bend its wings
Carefully separate the Coastal Cabana butterflies from each other
Using liquid glue to the parts that are required adhere the Gorgeous Grape and Coastal Cabana butterflies to the card base as required
Carefully cover the coloured butterflies with the Wink of Stella
Place Rhinestones on the body of the butterflies
Your card is now complete
