Instead of a card today I am showing how you can use the 12 x 12 inches Designer Series Paper to make a large gift bag. The final dimensions are W12 x H10 x D5 inches. For this bag you can use any DSP and cardstock that is suitable for you but this tutorial I will explain what I have used.

Cardstock
Powder Pink – 2 pieces measuring 12 x 6 inches; score at ½ inch on each long side and as 2 inches on one short side (side pieces of bag)
Powder Pink – 1 piece measuring 12 x 6 inches; score at ½ on each long side (bottom piece of bag)
DSP
Powder Pink Fresh Florals (large floral print used for the bag made) 2 pieces measuring 12 x 12 inches; score at 2 inches on one side
Putting the bag together
- Using the powder pink bottom piece cardstock adhere tear and tape along the edge of scored line on each long side (do not go inside the scored lines – if you do when pealing off the protective layer roll the sticky piece back on itself)
- Adhere the bottom piece of cardstock to each piece of the DSP along the opposite side to the score line
- Using the side pieces of cardstock cut away the small side rectangles on each of the side pieces; at the same time slightly mitre the sides of the 2 x 5 inches rectangle and slightly mitre the top and bottom of the I/2 inch side sections
- Adhere tear and tape along each long side of the sides pieces of cardstock
- Adhere tear and tape (or liquid glue) to the 2 x 5 inches rectangle (this secures the side pieces to the bottom of the bag)
- Remove the protective layer and carefully adhere to each side of the bag
- Remove the protective layer (or if using liquid glue) carefully adhere to the inside of the bottom of the bag
- Adhere tear and tape along the score line of each piece of DSP and along the long edge of the DSP
- Remove the non stick layer of tear and tape and carefully fold and stick to the inside of the bag
- Using a hole punch make two holes at the top of the bag on each side
- Thread your chosen ribbon though and tie off
- Bag is now complete
N.B. If you want to add a gift tag to your bag and attach to the bag make sure you thread the ribbon through before tying off (I did not use a gift tag as there was a card inside the gift bag)
Hope you enjoy making your version of this card, thank you for looking
