This is my take on a diorama card, it looks more complicated than it actually appears and will fold flat for posting in a self made envelope.

Finished card size is 5 x 7 inches, flat for posting is 7-1/2 x 7-1/2 inches larger envelope required to avoid damaging the decoration.
- Thick Whisper White cardstock
- 4 pieces 5 x 7 inches
- 4 pieces (inside side panels) 5 x 1/2 inches, score on short side at 1/4 inch on each piece
- 2 pieces (side panel) 5 x 2 inches, score on short side at 1/4 and 1-3/4 inches
- pieces for die cut images
- Seaside Spray cardstock – 5 x 7 inches
- Whisper White cardstock for stamped images
- Silver Glimmer Paper – 3 pieces to make rectangle border
- Sparkle Glimmer Paper
- 5 x 2 inches
- 5 x 2-1/2 inches
- 5 x 3 inches
- Silver foil for die cut images
- Vellum for die cut images
To create the cut off corners on each piece of whisper white mark 1 inch down and across from each corner, connect the marks by drawing a faint pencil line or if brave enough one cut diagonally with scissors. Die cut the rectangle using the second largest die.
largest die ensuring it is cut centrally on one piece, then ensure the other 2 pieces are die cut in the same position; one piece of card is not die cut this will form the back of the card.
Die cut 3 rectangle borders in silver glimmer paper using the second largest and largest dies. Adhere the borders to the front of each piece of whisper white.
To create the landscape in sparkle glimmer paper manually cut as required ensuring that it looks right when pieces placed on top of each other. Adhere to the back of each piece of whisper white, smallest piece is at the front, largest piece is the final piece, corners will overlap just carefully remove these on each piece.
On the 2 inside pieces of whisper white attach the smaller side panels (1/2 x 5 inches) to each side up to the score line. The 2 main side panels attach to the back piece up to the score line to each side, Adhere the Seaside Spray to the back piece covering the side panel tabs, once dry trim the corners to match the whisper white corners.
On the inside of one of the main side panel between the two score lines mark top and bottom at 1/2 and 1 inch, join the marks with a faint pencil line. Adhere the inside pieces to the main side panel by the other half of the side panels starting with the back piece, score line to sit on the pencil line with the tab facing to the back of the card, then adhere the other piece in front again score line to sit on the pencil line with tab facing towards back of the card. Before securing the other side now is the time to decorate ensuring the windows are lined up before adding items.
Heat embossed black shimmer trees on the back panel, sentiment heat embossed in white, 3 trees heat embossed in white shimmer and punched, deer stamped in memento ink (this is a set had in my own stash). Adhere where required when satisfied lie card flat, remove tear and tape from one tab at a time starting with the nearest to the back, the side panel will adhere in the correct place.
Snowflakes die cut in silver and white, foliage die cut in white, silver and vellum. flower die cut in white. Adhere the flower together, adhere the die cuts to the front of the card. Card is now complete.
